Sub :Public Telephones Provided in Villages (VPTs).
 

1. Various Instructions have been issued from time to time regarding Security Deposit, minimum gauranteed revenue, commission to franchisees of VPTs.
2.

It has now been decided that theVPTs having   STD facilities will have the following tariff. However, The existing charges in respect of the VPTs without STD facility shall continue.
i) SECURITY DEPOSIT
An amount of Rs. 250/- shall be collected from the VPTs with STD facility.
ii) MINIMUM GUARNTEED REVENUE
There shall be no minimum guaranteed revenue in respect of the VPTs.
iii) COMMISSION TO FRANCHISEES
At present the franchisees of VPTs are paid commission @50% of the gross call charges. Henceforth, the franchisees of STD VPTs shall be paid commission @ 25% of the charges on gross turnover per month.
3. These instructions superceed all other previous instructions on this subject and shall come into force with immediate effect.
4. All other provisions laid down on the subject and not amended now shall remain unchanged.

 

PCO / VPTs
1. Charges for calls made from Coin Collection Boxes (CCBs) for Rural & Urban areas :
- Rs. 1/- per metered call.
2. Charges for local calls made from local PCOs / VPTs (other than from STD / ISD PCOs VPTs.
i) Rural Area : - Rs. 0.50 per metered call
ii) Urban Area : - Rs. 1.20 per metered call
3. Charges for local and STD / ISD calls from STD / ISD PCO / VPTs.
i) Rural Area : - Rs. 1.20 per metered call plus a ceiling of Rs. 2/- for each  STD / ISD call irrespective of duration.
ii) Urban Area : - Rs. 1.20 per metered call plus a ceiling of Rs. 2/- for each STD / ISD call irrespective of duration.
